Installing a Clothing Pack

Before you copy anything

WARNING

If the pack would take you to 0 or fewer remaining slots on either gender, stop. Repack, remove a pack, or lower the build first. Installing it anyway produces a crash, not a warning.

Install

1. Copy the resource into resources/. Do not rename an escrowed resource folder.
2. Add ensure <resource_name> to server.cfg. Keep clothing resources in a fixed, documented order — that order sets global drawable IDs.
3. Confirm dependency '/policy:subdir_file_mapping' is present in the pack's fxmanifest.lua if it streams add-on collections.
4. Restart the server. A restart is required, not a refresh.

Test before players arrive

• Join the server yourself.
• Load a male character and open the clothing menu.
• Load a female character and open the clothing menu.
• If the pack ships heels or head-prop hair, equip one of each — that confirms mp_creaturemetadata_<pack>.ymt actually loaded.
• Walk through a busy area to see whether textures still stream.

Both genders matter because they have separate budgets. A pack that works on male and crashes on female is the classic signature of a full female slot budget.
